Socially engaged collection of artists who want to use the theatre and the arts to make a sustainable impact in people's lives. Finding the gaps where theatre belongs.
Ryan graduated Plymouth University with a First-class honours degree in Theatre and Performance. Since graduating Ryan has worked for many Arts organisations as a Theatre Practitioner and director. This includes working with the Theatre Royal Plymouth on their Young company workshops and productions. Ryan also has experience working with a variety of age groups in schools across Plymouth, supporting many of them with their GCSE and A-level assessments. As well as facilitating workshops Ryan also creates professional theatre for audiences across the south west. Ryan is also currently working with the students from Plymouth Conservatoire on the development of their professional practice whilst continuing to create his own theatre and studying a research masters degree in performance training.
'I first worked with Ryan a year ago when he was Assistant Director on a production of 'Twelfth Night' I was directing. I found him to be a commited, creative and professional presence and he made a fantastic contribution to the creative team. I was able to rely on his support and collaborate with him in a way that aided the shows development. Ryan is able to draw on a wide knowledge of theatre in theory and workshop practice and apply them with passion and enthusiam. We have subsequently worked together delivering workshops and developing shows for Theatre Royal Plymouth and others. He has many exercises and approaches at his finger tips and is confident and professional in workshop settings with a wide range of participants. '
